Procedure for Marriage Certificate

Below are the set of documents should be produced by both Bride and Groom at the time of Marriage Certificate Registration
  1. Marriage Invitation letter from both parties
  2. ID Proof and Address Proof ( Passport, Driving License, Gas Bill, Ration Card, Voter ID )
  3. Address Proof (Proof of residence must be from the city in which the marriage is being registered. ) ( Passport, Driving License, Gas Bill, Ration Card, Voter ID )
  4. Bride and Groom together in a photo ( Joint Photo ). It should be a Photo Taken in Marriage Suits. 5 such copies required. It should be a 2B Size ( Remember Its not a passport size photo )
  5. Eye witness.  2 persons are required.
  6. Fee for the registration (depends upon the sub registrar office )

Keep these documents ready and approach nearest sub registrar office. They will register your details in their register record online and your marriage becomes legalized.

One copy of marriage certificate will be given to Bride and Groom Each. You should retain it with yourself.

If you are applying for passport then provide this certificate as a proof of marriage. If you have passport already then, you can update your marriage certificate by providing this certificate
